- Sadly after nearly 500 years, the walnut tree in the pub garden is to be felled. Tree surgeons gave it the thumbs down several months ago due to disease. The resident squirrel has luckily found new lodgings further down the road.
- Thanks to a £20,000 injection from our landlord Charles, smokers have been treated to a heated & illuminated rather posh gazebo, in which to wile away the hours. (better than a plastic chair and umbrella, like some pubs !!) Non smokers welcome!
- Top chefs Mustapha from Tunisia and Vinodh from India have been cooking up some tasty delicacies since their arrival, many new and exciting dishes have been served, such as: Goan Prawn Curry and Moroccan Lamb. The new pub menu will be out soon and we have just launched a NEW TAKEAWAY MENU ! for lunch and dinner......
