White Lion Restaurant

The attractive White Lion Restaurant has retained all the characteristic and warmth of the Old Coaching Inn, our head chef produces an extensive A La Carte Menu. Utilizing the freshest meat, best quality vegetables, herbs and edible flavours to make the meal as interesting and tasty as possible. We have a wide selection of wines and beers, which have been specially selected for their quality of flavour to compliment our meals.

Ingredients are sought locally from butchers, farmers, to the local Greengrocer. The Menu is produced by our wonderful enthusiastic Chefs who have a love for creating food for you to enjoy.

  • Garlic Mushrooms in a rich cream sauce with a hint of sherry and port served on a freshly toasted ciabatta.

  • Prawns and Crayfish stack fresh prawns and crayfish mixed in a tangy Marie Rose sauce on a bed of iceberg topped with smoked Salmon.

  • Cotswold Chicken local chicken simmered with cider, stilton, garlic and lashings of cream with a generous array of vegetables served with new potatoes or rice.

  • Roasted Lamb Shank delivered by the best butcher in town, lamb is slow roasted with mint and rosemary served on a bed of fresh mash with tasty gravy and an bowl of fresh vegetables.

  • Slow Roast Beef and Ale Stew top quality stewing steak simmered with local ale from Donningtons, with lashings of vegetables and potatoes served with crusty bread to soak up all that gray.

  • Classic 8oz Sirloin locally reared steak served with fries, mushrooms, onion rings, grilled tomato and peas.

  • Classic Hand Beer Battered Cod a fresh 10oz cod traditionally battered in fine Donnigtons Bitter and served with mushy peas and fries.

  • Seared Cajun Salmon fresh salmon griddled with a special Cajun spice, served with new potatoes, marge tout and green beans.

  • Hand Crafted Burgers prime 100% mince beef burgers with tasty seasoning in a toasted bun served with bacon, cheese, relish and mayo with a side order of fries or spicy wedges and coleslaw.

  • Lasagne served with a green salad.

  • Coleslaw homemade with tasty currents.
